Drawing Challenge: use your non-dominant hand to create anything you wish!
I am hosting once again in this beautiful group of lovely art friends, so I have chosen the theme of using your non-dominant hand. I drew a bird using vine charcoal:
Everyone is encouraged and welcome to join in. Just leave a comment on this post saying whether you are IN or not this time...I'll link to your blog and all you have to do is create anything you wish (in any medium you wish to use) using your non-dominant hand. Post on Saturday June 30 or Sunday July 01st and we'll have a nice get-together!

ReplyDeletehi dear norma,
ReplyDeletei would love to join, but i have to go and help my daughter, she is moving and needs extra hands, that means both mine ;)i will return on sunday, so if i manage to produce something, it will be very late on sunday.
your birds are always so vivid, lively!
have a beautiful week!
Wow Norma, I am impressed. Love your bird. I am just learning to draw so needless to say to use my non dominant hand would be a disaster to say the least. Love this bird.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Lesley♥

ReplyDeleteI love your bird and Im so impressed by the fact that you drew this with your non-dominant hand.
I have posted mine and I now know how difficult this is to do.
My dominant hand felt useless with nothing to do and didnt like the menial tasks of holding down or rotating the paper.
Great challenge Norma
Cheers
Helen x
dear Norma,
ReplyDeleteafter making my drawing
(which I liked doing with my
non-dominant hand
although my other hand wanted
to take over)
I admire yours even more!
I liked the theme
it made me think of one
I did at the Art Academy
I like the softness
and
the unsecured lines
thanks for the theme!
love
Hey, Norma, I'll try to try! HA HA
ReplyDeleteThank you for allowing me
Mmmmmmmm. not be easy
my picture will look like when I was 5 years old :)))))))))))

Hi Norma, thank you very much for your kind comment.
ReplyDeleteJa Ja, I do not think I continue drawing with my right hand,
has been very difficult for me, but great fun too :))))
thanks for that good idea!!!!!!
Norma, your non dominant hand looks very controlled and capable to me! I am very impressed by this little birdie. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this great idea for a challenge.
dear Norma, thanks for a great theme, your beautiful charcoal bird reminded me of the fairy-tale 'the Chinese nightingale', x
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful little bird!! it's a pity that I can't participat - it's a wonderful theme.
ReplyDeleteyesterday I got your very very very beautiful letter, I'm so happy! thank you so much dear norma!
dear norma,
ReplyDeletesorry, i didn´t make it :(
my daughter hurt her ankle and had to go to the hospital and game back with the crutch. so i had to take over.
i came back yesterday evening. and i have to say i was exhausted.
i really worked with my both hands, non dominant and the dominant one as well ;)
hugs!

Dear Norma,
ReplyDeleteyour self portrait and this bird now... I'm wondering how you draw with your dominant hand?
I've enjoyed your theme very much. It reminds me of handling many things with both hands... unknowingly for me til now!
And, I like my non dominant hand drawing much more than my drawings with my dominant hand... its more unperfect, I like it. My right hand wanted to do everything perfect, thats exhausting ;-)
Thank you,
xAriane
Impressive!!!
